Bjornstad Marshall History

 Welcome!

      Greetings one and all! The idea behind this Blog is to have one central place for everyone to post any and all family history, as far back as possible and to keep adding as the family grows.

     We are scattered all over the country.  The chances of us all getting together to do this in person face to face are virtually non-existent. I find myself wishing I could sit down again with Mom and Dad to talk about their younger days. 

     I would like to see everyone post their memories of time with Mom and Dad, and with the grandparents. Even if there was more than one of us there, as we all see things differently, not unlike the story of the blind men and the elephant. Cliff had a good thing going with his request for memories like that, which sadly I did not reply to. I apologize for that. 

     If anyone has recordings of conversations with any of our parents or grandparents I would be happy to transcribe them if you don't have the time to and would send me a copy.

     It would be a wonderful thing for our "old foggy" generation and every bit as wonderful for our kids, their kids, and on. I would love to hear Grandma and Grandpa Marshall, as well as Grandma and Grandpa Bjornstad, talk about life in the days when our parents were kids. To hear and record those stories and Mom and Dad's views on the same timelines. This is a place we can pass those stories, all of our stories, on to the generations following us all. 

     For Super Seven generation to sit with their kids and talk about these things, those times, it would more than likely bring memories to the surface. We didn't have our time consumed by the digital devices. We had the great outdoors. Oh, and the basement!

     I will do my best organize this in an easy to navigate mess. Having taught for 11 years, I will try to be correct in the way things are presented. I laughed to myself when I wrote that, thinking about Mom proof reading this.
